Garden Tea Party

We recently celebrated the visit of our cousins from England with an afternoon Garden Tea Party! All photographs taken by Emi Moorcroft of Everleaf Photography. Click on any photo to view larger.

Tables were set on the deck ready for tea to be served, the trees decked with fabric pennants and a picnic cloth with play tea set to welcome young guests!

Napkins folded and balloons blown.

Tea cart set with favors of floral pencils and tags.

Each table was set with a floral cloth and lace overlay, tea cup and plate, floral napkin, flowers in mason jars, platter with milk and sugar cubes and a tiered tea treat stand.

Each tiered Tea Treat stand held tea sandwiches, scones with cream and assorted mini pastries. Yum!

Lots of guests enjoying the party - playing tea party, chatting, enjoying treats, and playing "Pass the Parcel".

A "Peep" of Easter Fun!

I love the colors of Easter - so bright and cheerful! One of the more colorful Easter Treats are Peeps - great for snacking and decorating. Check our Easter Pinterest Board for lots of fun Easter ideas - many featuring those cute sugar covered chicks.

Each Easter season, Americans buy more than 700 million Marshmallow Peeps, shaped like chicks, as well as Marshmallow Bunnies and Marshmallow Eggs, making them the most popular non-chocolate Easter candy. In 1953, it took 27 hours to create a Marshmallow Peep. Today it takes six minutes.

Get ready for the holiday by creating some of these chocolate covered Peeps for your Easter baskets. Buy a pack of your favorite Peeps. Melt either milk, dark or white chocolate in a double boiler. Dip the Peep tails into the chocolate "bath" and allow to cool. Package in a clear bag, tie with a bow and give with cheer!

Milk and Cookies Baby Shower

Stephanie, Kristine, Katie and I threw a shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our friend's bundle of joy! As the mother to be loves cows we chose a milk and cookies theme with fun cow elements.

The invite introduced the theme and welcomed family and friends to join us to celebrate the little cookie to be London!

Invitation from Squamscott Crafts

When guests arrived, they were greeted with cow nametags with fun straws. The nametags were displayed in trays filled with cookie cereal.

Guests enjoyed a buffet of assorted cookies and sweet treats - yum!

Delicious milk carton cake filled with cookies and cream frosting of course! And giant chocolate chip cookies.

Cold milk in chocolate, strawberry or regular was served in classic milk bottles with fun straws with "milk mustaches".

Guests posed for the camera at our photobooth with "milk mustaches", giant cookies and milk bottles.

Guests played gift bingo while watching the guest of honor open lots of beautiful presents.

The mother to be with her parasol covered in ribbons from her wonderful gifts.

Tables were decorated with coordinating fabric, antique milk bottles and pink carnations and baby's breath.

Guests went home with Chocolate Chip cookie kit favors - ingrediants for a batch of cookies were layered in milk jugs with labels and tags with prep instructions.
