Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's Birthday and National Read Across America Day. Let's celebrate with cakes, parties and treats inspired by our favorite story books.

You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but this cake was as delicious on the inside as it is beautiful on the outside.

Decorations are created with piped chocolate - tasty and eye catching!

Valentine's DIY: Heart Pocket Warmers

Today's tutorial is for cute Heart Pocket Warmers (or bean bags depending on your audience). As they are filled with rice, you can microwave them for 15 seconds for a toasty pocket warmer or mini hot pad. I used these a decoration on each plate at my recent Penguin Valentine Dinner - but they would also make cute favors like shown above. You could change the shape and fabric to create for almost any occasion. Enjoy! To start you will need the following supplies and your sewing machine.
